Week 3:

Thanksgiving Week

God! Family! Friends! Food! Football!

The holidays are here! This is the week of Thanksgiving; everyone has been talking about where they are going this Thursday, what they are going to eat and what they will do with their time off from school. All over the country friends and family are going to be getting together to spend time with one another and catch up. There are parades, family movies and people are beginning to put up their decorations for Christmas. It's a beautiful time of the year!

One thing that usually happens at Thanksgiving dinner table is that people go around the table and say the things that they are thankful for. As we read about last week, it is important so say out loud what we are thankful for! It's something that not only makes God happy but it can uplift the people around us that we care about.

So, while you have some more time at home this week or with family, be thinking about things you can express Thanksgiving on this Thursday. Maybe that means telling your parents that you appreciate them and why you do; maybe that means writing your favorite teacher a thank you card before your thanksgiving break; whatever way we can express thankfulness and gratitude this week and on Thursday, let's all do it!

There is power in expressing thanks for all God has done for us and for the people that we love!

How will you express your thanksgiving to others this week?

“I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.”

Psalms 9:1 NLT
