LEADING CHANGE IN OUR WORLD
We believe MINISTRY is seeing a need and meeting it, feeling a hurt and healing it. The OUTREACH team takes ministry outside of the four walls of the building and into the communities around us.

CITY CHURCH CHICAGO’s OUTREACH PARTNERS
Through out the 2018 Christmas Season, we saw God meet and exceed all of the needs of our City Church Christmas List, thanks to our generous City Church Family! Below are a few ways how your involvement and giving made an impact in the lives of so many children and families!
Christmas at Otis & O’Keeffe Elementary Schools
At our adopted schools, we were able to provide every student with a gift and a handwritten note of encouragement. That’s over 1,000 students that were impacted by our volunteers who wrapped gifts, wrote notes and participated in delivering the gifts!
SALT & LIGHT COALITION
Your vote mattered! Thanks to your support, our outreach partner Salt & Light Coalition received the most votes and a $10,000 award for the #GivingTuesday campaign sponsored by the Chicago Foundation for Women. Additionally, we were able to provide CTA cards for current members to alleviate the financial burden of transportation costs to attend work programs.
City Clerk’s women of worth
In partnership with the Chicago City Clerk, we are able to host 55 women and their children for an evening of dinner and entertainment. In addition to the evening events, from our City Church Family, we were able to bless more than 10 single moms and their children with Christmas gifts.
Through gifts received for the Riccioni fund, we were able to provide five single mom’s from our community with gift cards to help alleviate the financial pressures of the season!
Caroling for the elderly
A group of City Church Chicago volunteers gathered in Lincoln Park on the evening of December 12th to spread Christmas cheer through Christmas Caroling. Volunteers visited Lakeview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Sunrise of Lincoln Park where they caroled for over an hour - taking requests and singing to every room!
One resident was so moved because she "hadn't felt the Christmas Spirit in years", that she decided to walk the halls singing along!
EMPOWER INTERNATIONAl kids christmas
Empower International provide Christmas for all of the children in their schools and children's homes in Thailand, Burma and Pakistan. This year the amounts given toward our Christmas List Kids helped to provide their children with toys, clothes and personal items from their Empower family!
