KIDS ARE INVITED TO FAST & PRAY TOO

Fasting is a special way we choose to pause something we normally enjoy so we can spend extra time with God. For kids, fasting is not about being hungry, it’s about learning to listen to God, pray, and grow closer to Him.

When children fast, they learn that God is more important than snacks, screens, or distractions. It helps them practice self-control, gratitude, and trust in God in simple, age-appropriate ways.

Ways to help your Kids Stay Encouraged!

  • Celebrate effort, not results

  • Keep prayer times short and meaningful

  • Read a Bible verse together each day

  • Remind kids that God loves them and is proud of them

  • Model fasting and prayer as parents when possible

Fasting is not about doing everything perfectly. It’s about growing closer to God and learning to depend on Him. Whether a child fasts from food, screens, or habits, every small step of obedience matters to God.

Let’s encourage our children to seek God with joyful hearts and confident faith.

Ages Breakdown for Classrooms

We have four age-appropriate classrooms for your children to enjoy service:
Nursery (infants & toddlers, birth–3 years),
Pre-K & Kindergarten (ages 3–5),
Elementary (Grades 1–5)
Junior High (Grades 6–8, ages 11–13).

Bathroom Break & Snack

To help everyone stay comfortable and avoid disruptions, each Kids service includes a supervised group bathroom break.

For health and safety purposes, we do not permit food back in the classrooms.

Floor Plan

After arriving in our lobby, you can start walking straight ahead to our City Kids space. There you will find the Family Check-In where you will check in your student, and walk them back to their classroom. Attached is a floor plan of our children’s spaces.

Kids Transitions & Move Up Sunday

At City Kids, all children transition to their next class together in August, which aligns with the beginning of the school year for many families. This intentional timing helps make transitions clear, consistent, and exciting for kids.

Each August, we celebrate Move Up Sunday, a special day when kids are prayed over and welcomed into their next class alongside their friends. We ask families to wait until August for transitions so every child can experience this milestone in a meaningful and joyful way.

We can’t wait to celebrate your kids as they grow!

Child Dedication

What we believe…

Just as Hannah, who was a barren wife, promised to dedicate her child to the God (1 Samuel 1:11), and Mary and Joseph, who took Jesus to the temple to dedicate Him to the Lord (Luke 2:22), we invite you parents to do the same. Dedicating your child does not indicate any level of salvation, rather it is a public statement by you, stating that that you will train your child in the Christian faith. It is also a time for the Church family to affirm that we will seek to encourage you to bring up the child in the faith.

Fill out this form and we will get back to you right away with more information!
